Cup win would get Alloa loss out of system

Midfielder Jim McAlister says the Morton squad want to get last Saturday’s loss at Alloa Athletic out of their system by successfully booking their place in the fifth round of the William Hill Scottish Cup.

The Ton were stung in the second half at the Indodrill Stadium seven days ago as the Wasps fought back from behind to claim all three points.

They take a break from league duty with an away tie against East Fife at Bayview, and McAlister says the priority is to bounce back from that disappointing Championship result by making sure they are in Sunday’s draw.
