Cappielow to host Morton Women’s opening home match

Greenock Morton FC Women will play their first home match of the 2024/25 Barclays Scottish Women’s Championship season at Cappielow Park supported by Dalrada Technology.

Returning Manager Gary Forbes will return to Cappielow for the first home league fixture with the SWF Championship recently securing a major new partnership with global-banking giant Barclays.

The SWF Championship guarantees to be a competitive and action packed division with so much to play for at both ends of the table and Morton Women will be looking to get off to a strong start to the new campaign.

Taking place on Sunday 18th August, Greenock Morton Women will face Hutchison Vale with a 2.00pm kick-off.

This match will be open to the public with the following prices in place:

Adult/Concession – £5
Kids – £3

Supporters will be housed in the Allan McGraw Main Stand and parking will be available in the top car park with Sinclair Street having no parking for the match, similar to our men’s matchday operations.

Tickets are now available to purchase HERE through our online ticketing partner Fanbase.

On the news, General Manager, Dale Pryde-MacDonald said, “We are delighted to be hosting Greenock Morton Women at Cappielow for their first home league match of the Barclay’s SWF Championship season.”

“The team were scheduled to play here in March but due to the men’s Scottish Cup clash with Hearts we had to postpone so we are really excited to welcome the ladies to Cappielow especially now they have moved under the management of the football club.”

“I hope we can get a big crowd to Cappielow on Sunday 18th August to back the girls and give them the best support we can.”
