Cancelled Matches at Cappielow

With the club gaining a home tie in the Quarter Finals of the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup, we have unfortunately had to cancel two games that were due to take place at Cappielow during that week.

On Thursday 7th March we were due to host Scottish Schoolboys v Wales Schoolboys which we have now informed the Scottish Schools FA we will no longer be able to accommodate. This is incredibly regrettable, and we are gutted to lose such a match but with the infrastructure works that will be ongoing that week, it will not be achievable to host the match as well as the pitch recovery for the match.

Cappielow was also due to host Greenock Morton Women on Sunday 10th March for their clash with Dryburgh Ladies which will no longer take place. Again, this is very regrettable, but in the circumstances, we would not be able to host the fixture.

We hope given the circumstances everybody understands these decisions. A lot of factors come into these decisions such as TV rigging, infrastructure preparations and recovery of the pitch to meet the demands of hosting such matches.

Our Championship match against Ayr United on 9th March has also been postponed due to our participation in the Scottish Cup Quarter finals.
