Baird: Gary guaranteed he’d set up first goal

Matchwinner John Baird has revealed that former Partick Thistle team-mate Gary Fraser guaranteed he would set him up for his first Morton goal as they travelled to Cappielow for Saturday’s game against Brechin City.

The Jags loan midfielder was as good as his word, picking out Baird with an inswinging corner that the striker stooped to head between the sticks and open his Ton account.

As well as telling how Fraser had promised to lay on a goal, the 32-year-old also discusses how his aerial ability is not fully appreciated and why he would be giving his sponsors man of the match prosecco to his wife.
