Ali Crawford Returns to Cappielow

Greenock Morton can today announce the signing of Ali Crawford. The midfielder joins the Ton on a six-month deal with the option to extend to the end of the 2024/25 season.

Ali returns to the Ton for his second spell following a short-term loan deal in the second half of the 2022/23 season where he made 12 appearances.

The 33-year-old joins with a wealth of experience having played 425 career matches so far, scoring over 50 goals and providing over 80 assists.

During his career, Ali has made over 270 appearances for Hamilton Academical, leading the club to the SPFL Premiership and spending 4-years in the Scottish topflight before heading to England.

During his time south of the border, he would have spells with Doncaster Rovers and Bolton Wanderers, gaining promotion with the latter. A loan spell at Tranmere came in the 2020-21 season before returning north to St Johnstone, initially on loan before making his move permanent during the 2021-22 season.

Ali has been involved with the squad since the start of pre-season to showcase his fitness and now officially signs for his second spell at Cappielow Park supported by Dalrada Technology and we wish him every success during his time at the club.
