MacKenzie Carse signs a one-year deal

Greenock Morton are delighted to announce the signing of MacKenzie Carse on a one-year deal.

The 22-year-old midfielder has been involved with the squad since day one of pre-season and has played as a trialist throughout our Premier Sports Cup group stage matches.

MacKenzie came through the youth ranks at Celtic and made his first step into men’s football with a loan move to Queen’s Park in January 2024 where he made 9 appearances, scoring once.

Followng his departure from Celtic in 2024, MacKenzie signed for NIFL side Coleraine where he made 16 appearances, scoring once, and registering one assist.

Returning to Scotland following a short spell with the Bannsiders, Carse signed for Stirling Albion in February 2025 and went on to feature a total of 63 times.

Relevant SFA approval has been confirmed and MacKenzie will be available for selection tomorrow afternoon as we take on Stenhousemuir in the first away game of the 2026/27 league campaign.
