Reuben Lopata-White signs on loan

Greenock Morton are delighted to announce the signing of Reuben Lopata-White from Leeds United on a loan deal until the end of the season.

A product of the Leeds United Youth Academy, the 20-year-old defender has impressed for the Whites’ Under-18s and Under-21s sides in recent years, earning him his first professional contract with the English Premier League side in July 2024.

Reuben was also part of the Leeds United academy team that reached the final of the FA Youth Cup in 2024.

Ian Murray commented on today’s signing news, “I am delighted to get this deal over the line and welcome Reuben to the club. He is an extremely promising young defender who will provide crucial depth and competition to the defence as we head into an extremely important part of the season.

I would like to thank Leeds United for their help and assistance to allow this deal to take place and for their trust in my coaching staff and I with the next stage in Reuben’s development.”

Reuben will wear the number 26 shirt.
