Billy Davies Departs Cappielow

Greenock Morton can today confirm that Technical Head Coach, Billy Davies, has now left the club.

Having been brought in last summer to support the previous First Team Manager, Billy’s vast knowledge and experience has been extremely valuable both off and on the pitch.

Billy has supported the club diligently throughout this season, most recently during the period we recruited a new First Team Manager providing support throughout to the team, staff, and Board. He has dedicated his time with the club to covering many different aspects of the footballing department.

With the new management structure now in place, the club and Billy have agreed the time is right to part ways on a positive footing.

Club Director Graham Barr said today, “On behalf of the club, I would like to offer our grateful thanks to Billy for all that he has undertaken since arriving in the summer.

“Billy’s hard work and dedication to his role have been appreciated by everyone at Greenock Morton and he moves on with our very best wishes for the future.”

In addition, Billy stated: “It has been a privilege to work at Greenock Morton for these last few months, and I would like to place on record my thanks to both the GMFC and MCT Boards, the Players, Backroom Staff, the supporters, and everyone at the club for their backing and assistance. Equally, my profound thanks to Brian Bonar and Dalrada Technology for their vision and support. Finally, I wish Ian and the First Team squad all the very best going forward.”
