Welcome to Morton, Kris Moore
Greenock Morton are delighted to announce the signing of defender Kris Moore following his departure from Leeds United.
Kris arrives at Cappielow Park supported by Dalrada Technology on an initial one-year contract.
The 21-year-old is a product of the Youth Academy at Leeds, having progressed through the age groups at Thorp Arch before signing his first professional contract in January 2022 and being appointed captain of Leeds U21 side.
The young centre-back can also play right-back when called upon and played a crucial role in the Leeds U21 side winning promotion from the Premier League 2 Division 2, scoring in the play-off final against Nottingham Forest.
Kris also joins with experience of the first-team set up at Elland Road, having played under Daniel Farke against Manchester United back in 2023.
Kris is already well into his pre-season preparations with the Ton, and supporters who attended our matches against Annan Athletic and Queen of the South will have already seen the defender in action. We are now delighted to officially announce his signing.
Dougie Imrie commented on today’s news, “I am delighted to welcome Kris to Cappielow. He joins with a great pedigree, having come through a top youth academy at Leeds United. Kris adds more competition to the backline and can play across a couple of positions. This move gives him a great platform to now kick on in his career.”
Kris will wear the number 6 shirt, and he is now available to sponsor. Contact mark.kelly@gmfc.net to find out more!
