Iain Wilson joins on permanent deal until Summer 2025

Greenock Morton can today confirm that Iain Wilson’s loan deal from Queen of the South has been terminated and the midfielder will join immediately on a permanent deal until Summer 2025.

Iain first joined the Ton in January 2021 on a short-term deal, making 13 appearances and was part of the Morton side that finished the 2021/22 Scottish Championship campaign in 7th place.

Following a spell with Queen of the South, Iain returned to the club in August 2023 and has made 22 appearances so far this season, scoring 1 goal.

On securing Iain’s permanent stay, Manager Dougie Imrie said, “To secure a permanent deal for Iain at this stage of the season is a real boost for the squad. He has been a valuable member of the team since arriving in August and is a player that has come to know the club well.”
