Davie Provan

Everyone at Greenock Morton was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former Rangers and Scotland player Davie Provan.

Davie was an institution locally, encouraging a generation of boys and girls across Inverclyde to play the game and keep active, including many of our current coaches.

The foundations he laid in place as the SFA’s football development officer for the region are the inspiration behind much of our present efforts with the youth academy and community trust.

Mr Provan is fondly remembered by all here at the football club and our sympathies and condolences go to his family and friends at this very sad time.
