Gus MacPherson and Andy Millen Appointed
Greenock Morton Football Club are delighted to announce that manager Gus MacPherson and Andy Millen have put pen to paper on new two-year deals at Cappielow.
MacPherson and Millen joined the club in March 2021 and successfully guided the team through the playoffs to retain our status in the Championship after a difficult campaign.
As the club gets set to embark on a new era under community ownership, Gus and Andy will bring a wealth of football experience to the club. Morton Club Together have been fully engaged in the process ahead of community ownership and are delighted Gus and Andy have agreed to stay with the club at the beginning of this exciting time.
Speaking after agreeing to stay with the club, manager Gus MacPherson said, “It’s great to have committed to the club for the next two seasons and I’m ready to build on the work we have done since coming in a few months ago.
“It’s an extremely exciting time for the club as they become community owned, and it’s a great opportunity to work with MCT to help build the club at the beginning of this new era.”
Fans will have noticed that Cameron Salkeld, Markus Fjørtoft and Sean McGinty have all joined Ayr United and we can confirm that Aidan Nesbitt will also be leaving the club this summer. We thank each of them for their efforts whilst playing in a Ton jersey and wish them all the very best.
There will be some exciting signing news for Ton fans this afternoon, keep your eyes peeled on our website and social media channels later today.
