MATCH RESULT: Arbroath 1-2 Morton

Morton get a hugely important win away at Arbroath as goals from John Sutton and Luca Colville secured the victory for the Ton.

A magnificent cross in from Robbie Muirhead set up the chance for John Sutton to meet the header and send it over Derek Gaston to give the Ton the lead.

It would be Morton who doubled the lead as a low cross from Nicky Cadden found Robbie Muirhead who was able to scoop it through to Luca Colville to finish it home.

But shortly after, Arbroath found themselves clawing a goal back after a bullet header from Scott Stewart gave the Lichties a glimmer of hope.

However, the Ton held out for a delightful victory and a very important league victory for their first match of the decade.
