Jack Baird Joins Morton On Loan

Greenock Morton are delighted to announce that St Mirren defender Jack Baird has tonight signed a short term loan deal until January.

The 23-year-old has established himself as a regular first team player for the Buddies and signed a two year contract extension with the club at the beginning of the year which runs until June 2021.

Delighted Ton boss David Hopkin is pleased with being able to get the deal over the line and insists it has been a successful day for transfer business.

Speaking exclusively to gmfc.net, he said: “I’m thrilled that we been given the opportunity to bring Jack to the club, he’s a premier league level player and he will give us more competition at the back.

“It’s been a successful day for us, bringing in both Adam and now Jack. Having players of their quality will only benefit the squad and I’m sure our supporters will see the best of them.”
