A trip to the capital awaits Morton in the last 16 of the Betfred Cup as they hope to succeed in progressing through to the quarter finals with a game against Hibs at Easter Road.
Morton go into the game following a resounding result against Alloa after a 4-1 victory and will hope to repeat these performances in Edinburgh.
Hibernian’s Stevie Mallan will miss the game through suspension after accumulating too many yellow cards in previous rounds of the Betfred Cup.
The group stage for Morton was one of mixed emotions with resounding victories over Annan and Dumbarton and also included a 4-0 defeat to Motherwell.
However, Morton’s victory on penalties against Queen of the South meant that Morton would go through to the last 16, with the winner at Easter Road heading through to the quarter finals.
