The hunt for qualification from Group E concludes on Saturday as Morton play their final group game against Queen of the South at Cappielow Park.
There is a real buzz around Cappielow Park in preparation for what is the final game before the Ladbrokes Championsip 2019/20 season kicks off and the Ton fans will be hoping for a successful day to set them up for the new season of football.
The gaffer has been gelling a team together since his appointment and will be hoping that the preparation and training that the players have gone through will shine in their performance against Queens.
Following their 5-0 victory at Galabank, Morton will be in high hopes ahead of the game knowing that a win will send them one step closer to a trip to Hampden Park with qualification into the last 16.
Providing results go in our favour, a draw followed by a win on penalties will also be suffice enough for qualification however David Hopkin will be feeling that he will want to get the job done to ensure that Morton qualify with ease meaning that a victory will be what is expected from the players.
Team News
Kalvin Orsi and Brendan Pearson are still out with their respective injuries and will not be included in the squad.
Brian McLean’s knock remains and he also joins the small list of injuries ahead of the game.

Former club captain Lee Kilday will be in the squad for Queen of the South as he returns to his old stomping ground in tomorrow’s Betfred Cup match. Kilday, who made over 150 appearances for the Sinclair Street side, departed the club at the end of last term following a successful five years at Cappielow which included a League One title victory.
Goalkeeper Robby McCrorie, who impressed during a loan spell from Rangers last season, will be between the sticks for the Dumfries outfit as the 21-year-old joined the Doonhammers on a season long loan the start of the season.
Striker Gary Oliver will also be available for selection in the Queen of the South line-up following his departure from the Ton in May. The former Hearts youth arrived at Cappielow in 2016 and made 104 appearances, scoring 16 goals during his time with the club.
