Cappielow to host Celtic versus Bayern Munich

We are pleased to confirm that we have come to an arrangement with Celtic to stage their upcoming UEFA Youth League group fixture against Bayern Munich here at Cappielow.

Like the Parkhead club’s first-team, their development squad have been pitted against the German giants, Paris Saint-Germain, and Anderlecht in Group B of the Under-19 equivalent of the Champions League.

And the Bayern Munich return fixture will now be contested here in Greenock on Tuesday 31 October. Kick off is 5pm and entry is free.

We have history of hosting Celtic in the tournament having provided the venue for their 2-1 loss to Barcelona on 1 October 2013 as well as all three of their fixtures in last season’s competition.

The young Celts lost 4-0 to Manchester City on 28 September (pictured), secured a 1-1 draw with Borussia Monchengladbach on 19 October, before losing 4-1 to Barca in their final home game on 23 November.
